This module is an upgraded voltage controlled amplifier based on the Sound Semiconductor Inc. SSI2161 chips. This modern replacement for the CEM3335 has more than 15dB better dynamic range than the original CEM3335. When used to replace the two mixer CEM3335 chips in the K250, the background hiss of the synthesizer drops by over 12dB. Hiss drops much further if channel 12 of the K250 has the final version digitizer modifications done. Each module comes with a 14 pin socket and through hole resistors needed for increasing dynamic range once installed. This kit is available as singles or a kit of 8 to replace all CEMs on the K250.
